Dear residents,
As you have likely been informed, COVID-19 has begun to affect the people of New York City, with officials advising a minimum of one week quarantine for individuals coming into contact with a patient who tests positive for the virus. Per this advisement and to protect our strong and vibrant Printing House community, we are writing to share the unfortunate news that one of our customer-facing building staff members has received a positive diagnosis.
If any member of your household has been on the premises in the past week, we ask that you self-quarantine in your home for the advised one to two week period. While we cannot enforce a mandatory shelter-at-home policy, we are strongly advising the most aggressive measures to protect our residents.
Our staff are dedicated to minimizing the spread of the virus, and to that effect we will be deep-cleaning and disinfecting all shared spaces over the weekend and will enact more stringent cleaning schedules going forward. We must also ask our residents to be especially mindful about personal hygiene and take extra precautions to minimize the spread of the virus.
We understand that such strong cautionary measures will cause inconveniences and interruptions to your daily life, and you likely have concerns and questions. Our dedicated office line (212-675-0421) and email (printinghouseresidents@corcoran.com) are available to help in whatever way your household may need.

Dearest NYTW Community,
First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.
It was in the interest of the health of our community that we made the painful decision to suspend all of our programming for the time being. We closed Celine Song’s Endlings days after it opened and suspended performances of Martyna Majok’s Sanctuary City just one week into previews. We had to postpone Next Door performances, postpone readings and workshops, and interrupt our work in NYC’s public schools.
In recent days, it has also become clear that we will need to postpone our upcoming production of Three Sisters; single tickets will not go on sale April 1st, and members and Repeat Defenders who have already booked their seats will be contacted as soon as we have more information about the revised schedule.
Though our capacity to gather together for shared, live experience is temporarily diminished, our common purpose remains. This challenging and chaotic disruption reaffirms our collective faith in its necessity. We are like Emily in the last act of Our Town: only by having it taken from her is she able to grasp the beauty, the miracle of life—even in its chaos, struggle and trauma. So, we too, have a new understanding of the importance of convening for communal ritual, presided over by virtuosic artists, spinning tales to challenge and deepen our humanity.
We are committed to supporting our community through this difficult moment. We are continuing to pay the artists, technicians, and staff who make that community possible. This week, we will roll out plans for our audiences to continue to connect in virtual spaces with our artists and with each other. All the while, we continue to make plans and preparations for the moment when we will be able to gather together again.
We have been so moved by your thoughtfulness and generosity. From artists offering solidarity, to members donating their tickets, to friends making unsolicited gifts meant to see us through this crisis. Every message and every gesture is meaningful.
If you are able to make a gift to help us sustain our artists and staff, we would be honored if you would consider doing that.
Stay safe and we will all look forward to being together again soon.
